Overview
Monitor changes with PageFluxer Cloud or Local. Track prices, stock and content; Local checks run while Chrome is open.
Good news when the page changes. PageFluxer helps you monitor webpage changes, track a product price, watch availability or discover new linked items. Choose what matters, set your alert conditions and decide where checks run: on PageFluxer Cloud or in your own Chrome browser with PageFluxer Local. WHAT YOU CAN WATCH • Page content: receive alerts when text changes, starts containing a phrase or stops containing a phrase. • Prices: watch for changes, decreases or a price crossing below your chosen amount. • Availability: detect when a stock label changes to available or unavailable. • New items: discover new linked articles, jobs, announcements and listings, optionally matching a phrase. • Visual changes: use Cloud monitoring to compare screenshots of a whole page or selected region. • Combined conditions: use supported combinations such as “in stock AND below $20,” evaluated from the same capture. CHOOSE WHERE CHECKS RUN Cloud checks continue when Chrome is closed. Select content in the extension, continue to the website, review the independent preview and finish setup. Cloud HTML and Cloud Browser checks run on PageFluxer infrastructure. For supported pages that require sign-in, use a separately configured workspace site connection. Cloud checks do not inherit your browser’s login session. The preview helps you confirm what the service can capture before saving. Local checks use your own desktop Chrome profile, including existing website sessions. Connect your browser to a workspace, approve access to the website, test a fresh capture and confirm before saving. You can close the original page tab and side panel. Keep Chrome running on an awake computer: scheduled checks open temporary inactive tabs. Sleep, browser shutdown, offline connections, expired logins and browser throttling can delay or interrupt checks. Local supports page content, prices, availability and new linked items. Visual monitoring and other supported capture types use their Cloud workflows. PRICE DETECTION AND CONFIRMATION Detect a supported product offer automatically or select an exact visible price. Review the detected amount and currency, with manual currency selection available when needed. Product and currency checks help prevent a different offer from replacing your starting price. If a price becomes missing, ambiguous or cannot be verified, the last successful baseline is retained and the issue is reported. Fresh capture confirmation lets you review what will be monitored. Changing relevant settings requires another test before saving. SELECT AND PREPARE YOUR CONTENT Watch the whole page, its main content or a specific element. Use “Select on page,” hover over an element and click to choose it. Alt + Up selects its parent container; Escape cancels. Add up to three content targets. Let any rule trigger an alert or require all supported conditions to match. New-item monitoring can detect supported linked items or watch every link in your selected area. Need to apply a filter or choose an option first? Record supported clicks, non-sensitive text entry, dropdown choices and checkbox changes. Review, edit or reorder supported preparation steps, then test their replay before saving. Recording acts on the real website. Never record passwords, payment details, purchases, private searches or confidential information. REVIEW AND MANAGE YOUR MONITORS Review Local setup requests prepared on the website or through a connected assistant. These requests require your review, website access, a successful capture test and confirmation before monitoring starts. Move supported monitors between Cloud and Local while retaining history and notification settings. Transfers require a fresh preview or confirmed capture for the destination. Search Local monitors in the extension, check now, edit, pause, resume or delete. Connection status and check issues help you identify interrupted uploads, unavailable browsers or pages that need attention. Save recovery helps avoid duplicate monitors after interrupted connections. You can also pause, resume or delete Local monitors on the website. Changes reach the extension after a successful sync. HISTORY AND NOTIFICATIONS Organize monitors in workspaces and review their change history on the website. Configure email, webhooks and supported team-channel notifications from monitor details, subject to your plan. Additional Cloud options include no-change alerts and supported AI features. Availability depends on your plan and monitor type. Local captures and authenticated Cloud captures are excluded from AI processing. YOUR DATA AND PERMISSIONS Local uses your existing website session without exporting website cookies, authorization headers, passwords or browser authentication storage. With your consent, selected content, page titles and URLs, prices, product identifiers, item details, monitor settings and explicitly recorded non-sensitive input values are sent to PageFluxer for comparison, history and notifications. Selected content may contain private information. Local checks run in your browser, but the service is not offline-only. Permissions support the features you choose: • Current-tab access and scripting enable page selection, recording and approved captures. • The side panel keeps setup and management controls beside your page. • Storage preserves drafts, settings, schedules, a scoped account connection token and queued results. • Alarms schedule checks while Chrome is running. • PageFluxer access connects your workspace and synchronizes results. Access to monitoring websites is requested individually for Local setups. The extension does not read Chrome’s saved browsing history, track unrelated browsing or run extension analytics. GET STARTED Install the extension, open a webpage and click the PageFluxer toolbar icon. Choose your check location, select what to watch and review the capture. An account is required to save and run monitors. Sign in on the website; no API key is needed. Open email sign-in links in the same Chrome profile. The extension is free to install. Free and paid service plans have different monitoring allowances, check intervals, history retention and notification options. Works with desktop Chrome. Embedded frames, shadow DOM and protected browser pages have selection limitations. Some pages requiring foreground interaction or native key presses are unsuitable for Local checks. Use pages you are authorized to monitor and follow their applicable access rules. PageFluxer does not bypass CAPTCHAs or website restrictions. Monitoring is best effort and may miss changes between checks.
