Companion4SN is a developer toolkit for ServiceNow that lives in your Chrome toolbar. It connects to the ServiceNow instance you already have open and turns slow, repetitive admin and debugging work into a few clicks. WHY INSTALL IT Stop building catalog items one form at a time, stop switching users just to find a missing role, and stop digging through stats.do. Companion4SN works inside your existing session and respects your existing permissions. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Bulk Item Builder – Download an Excel template, fill in catalog items, variables, variable sets and UI policies, then upload it. Errors are caught locally and can be fixed in a quick-fix grid. A dry run validates everything in a transaction and rolls it back, so you only commit when it passes. • Catalog Item Cloner – Duplicate a catalog item with its variables, variable sets, UI policies, client scripts, user criteria and more, with variable references re-mapped for you. • ACL & Role Analyzer – Pick a user, see their direct and group-inherited roles as a tree, and check read, write, create and delete on any table. For every denied operation it shows which role is missing. • Instance Health – Version, memory, sessions and database pool from stats.do in one clear view. • Plus: Background Script runner, Real-Time Log streamer, Scope and Update Set switcher, Dictionary Exporter, Rapid Impersonator, Background Flow Tracker (desktop notification when a flow finishes), Cancel Transactions, XML Payload Studio, Integration Studio and an LLD document generator. HOW TO USE 1. Open your ServiceNow instance in a Chrome tab. 2. Click the Companion4SN icon and choose Initialize Bridge. 3. Pick a tool from the sidebar. PRIVACY Companion4SN talks to the ServiceNow instance in your active tab, and to endpoints you enter yourself in Integration Studio. It does not collect or sell your data.
