Collect ChatGPT ads, product recommendations and brand mentions with their conversation context for competitor research. AdContext — AI Ad Collector is a Chrome extension by ChatAdsWatch that turns observations from ChatGPT into a searchable local research library. Save the question and answer behind each item, organize records by brand and content type, and export the records you need for your own analysis. Use it to keep examples for competitor analysis, compare brand mentions across your saved conversations, and revisit the context in which a product was recommended. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Save detected research items automatically, or switch to review-before-saving mode. - Capture selected text or a page element manually on supported ChatGPT pages. - Keep nearby questions and answers with each saved item. - Group records by answer and distinguish labeled ads, product recommendations and brand mentions. - Search saved content and filter by category, capture method and research tag. - Edit saved titles, brands, categories and conversation context. - Add brand names to help recognize mentions in answers. - Export filtered records as CSV or JSON. JSON includes any saved screenshots. - Use the interface in English or Chinese. LOCAL DATA AND USER CONTROL Automatic collection and saving are enabled by default. Detected items, nearby conversation text and the conversation link are saved locally without a confirmation prompt. You can pause collection or choose Review before saving from the extension toolbar. Saved records may contain personal or sensitive information included in the conversation. Review your records and exported files before sharing them. You can edit or clear saved context and delete individual records. Screenshots are optional and require an explicit toolbar action. A visible-tab image is captured locally and cropped to the selected area; only the confirmed crop is saved. Automatic collection does not take screenshots. AdContext does not upload saved content to ChatAdsWatch or other servers. It has no extension account, cloud sync, analytics trackers or external AI calls. Settings and records stay in this browser profile. Uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage removes local records. Exported files remain under your control. Import and restore are not currently supported. SUPPORTED PAGES AND LIMITATIONS Works on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. You need access to ChatGPT to collect content from its pages; the extension does not provide that access. Detection depends on the loaded page structure and can miss content or change when ChatGPT updates. Brand recognition is limited and can be supplemented with your own brand list. Product recommendations and brand mentions are not evidence of paid placement. Saved samples do not represent total advertising impressions, and context keywords are not verified advertiser targeting keywords.
