Overview

Add an on-screen close button to Chrome kiosk mode. Exit with one click, no keyboard shortcuts needed. Customizable, auto-hides.

Running Chrome in kiosk mode without a keyboard, or with users who don't know Alt+F4? Kiosk Exit Button adds a clean, customizable close button on top of any website, so anyone can end the kiosk session with a single click. No changes to your web page needed. PERFECT FOR • Kiosks and terminals with a mouse but no keyboard • Digital signage and info displays • Trade show stands and product demos • Library, museum and lobby terminals • Shared PCs where users shouldn't need to know shortcuts FEATURES • Text or image button: use your own label or upload a custom image (up to 5 MB) • Custom text and color to match your branding • Place it in any corner of the screen • Small, Medium or Large size • Auto-hide: the button fades out after inactivity and reappears when the mouse moves • Settings persist across sessions PRIVACY No browsing data is collected or transmitted. Your button settings are stored locally on the device using Chrome's storage API, and nothing leaves your machine. WHY DOES IT NEED ACCESS TO ALL WEBSITES? Chrome requires this permission so the extension can display the button on top of whatever site your kiosk is showing. It only adds the button; it does not read or change page content.
