Kioku

Companion to the free Kioku app, which is needed for capture. Saves what you decided in your AI chats to Kioku on your computer.

Kioku is a memory for the decisions you make while working with AI. This extension reads the conversation you are looking at on a supported AI site, keeps the choice you made and the reason behind it, and sends it to the free Kioku app running on your own computer. It keeps the source so you can point to it later. The extension works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot. Once a chat is saved, the Kioku app turns it into memory you can search, reuse, and trust, and it lets you know when a decision you made earlier is later reversed. This extension is a companion to the free Kioku app, not a tool on its own. The app has to be installed and running for capture to work. When the app is not running the extension simply says so and waits, and it never pretends to save anything. What you can do with it. Save the decision and the reasoning from a chat on any supported AI site. Send that capture to the Kioku app on your own machine. Open the Kioku app to read the saved decision next to its source. Prepare useful context from your past work and drop it into your next message when you choose to. Reuse your saved context in Recall, in the desktop app, and in the tools you connect to Kioku. If you want to see how it feels before installing anything, open the popup and turn on Demo mode. Demo mode uses built in sample data and touches no network, so you can watch a capture appear and the health card turn green exactly as it would with the real app. A banner keeps it clear that the data is a sample. Privacy and control. Kioku keeps your data on your own computer by default. The extension sends what it captures to the Kioku app running locally on your machine, normally on a port chosen by the app on your loopback address. You can pause capture, choose which sites are on, and delete memories from the Kioku app. Setup. 1. Install this extension. 2. Install and start the free Kioku app: pip install kioku-ai, then kioku serve-http. 3. Open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or Copilot. 4.
