KingKit Favourites
Overview
Save KingKit products for later with a one-click heart on every product image, then browse and manage them in one list.
KingKit Favourites adds the wishlist and collection tools missing from KingKit to , directly inside Chrome. Hover over any product image on kingkit.co.uk and click the heart to save it. The unobtrusive overlay stays out of the way until needed, while saved hearts remain visible so you can immediately recognise kits already in your list. The extension records useful details including the product title, image, manufacturer, scale, category, new and pre-owned prices, and stock information—without interrupting your browsing. Open the toolbar button whenever you want to search and manage your collection. You can: • Search by title, subject, era, manufacturer, category, scale, release year or your own notes. • Filter by manufacturer, scale, category and status. Filters contain only values present in your favourites, so there are no enormous lists to sift through. • Mark kits as Wanted, Bought or Built and add private notes. • Sort by date saved, title, price, release year or latest alert. • Update, export or remove several kits at once using Select mode. • Copy visible results as a tidy list for forums, gift lists or messages. • Open a wider full-page manager as your collection grows. KingKit listings can be sparse, so favourites are matched carefully with Scalemates in the background. Where a confident match is found, the extension adds the release year, subject, era and topic, together with a discreet link to the relevant Scalemates page. This extra information also powers semantic search. Searches such as “Battle of Britain”, “German First World War aircraft” or “Imperial Japanese Navy” can find relevant kits even when those exact words are absent from the KingKit title. The search model runs locally in your browser. KingKit often carries one-off and pre-owned stock, making changes easy to miss. Price Watch rechecks a small number of saved products roughly once per day while Chrome is running. It can alert you to price drops, price rises, restocks, items going out of stock and removed listings. The toolbar badge shows unseen alerts, cards explain exactly what changed, and an expandable history keeps recent price and stock movements. Checks are deliberately paced and can be disabled. Your collection can stay on the current device, use Chrome Sync for a smaller library, or synchronise across computers through Google Drive. Drive data is kept in its private application-data area, which only the extension can access. JSON import and export provide an additional portable backup. Why install KingKit Favourites? It replaces scattered tabs, bookmarks and spreadsheets with a focused tool made specifically for browsing KingKit. Save an interesting kit in one click, find it again by meaning rather than remembering its exact name, monitor scarce stock, and gradually turn a wishlist into a useful record of what you want, own and have built. There are no adverts, analytics, project-run accounts or tracking servers. Scalemates enrichment and price watching are optional. KingKit Favourites is an unofficial companion extension and is not affiliated with KingKit or Scalemates.
