Kinda is Chrome side-panel translation that adapts register, gender, and idioms, not just words. It translates the way a bilingual friend would: what you actually mean, in the register the situation calls for. Most translators give you dictionary output: technically correct, socially wrong. They pick the wrong level of formality, ignore grammatical gender, and translate idioms literally. Kinda is built around one idea: a message that is grammatically perfect but socially off is a failed translation. WHAT MAKES KINDA DIFFERENT - Register-aware. Kinda knows when to say tu or vous, tú or usted, du or Sie, and picks the right one from the relationship you describe, not a coin flip. - Gender-correct. Tell Kinda who is speaking and who they are talking to, and agreements, endings and pronouns come out right. - Idioms adapted, never word-for-word. "Break a leg" becomes the phrase a native speaker would actually use. - Explain. Click any translation and Kinda tells you, in your own language, why it was phrased that way. - Tone ladder. Nudge any translation more formal or more casual, step by step, without retyping. - Formal and casual variants, side by side, for languages with a true formal/informal split.
