Overview

Lets your OnDemand agents open and use websites in this browser, using the sessions you're already logged into.

OnDemand Browser lets your OnDemand agents work in your own Chrome: open websites, read pages, click, type, fill in forms and take screenshots, using the accounts you're already signed into. Instead of handing an agent your passwords or relying on a remote browser that gets blocked or logged out, the agent works in a real tab in your browser. Websites see your normal session, and your cookies and passwords never leave your computer. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. 2. In OnDemand, open the Browser connector and click "Connect this browser". 3. That's it. When an agent needs the web, it opens tabs in a group called "OnDemand Browser" and gets to work. YOU STAY IN CONTROL • Agents only touch tabs they opened. Your other tabs are never read or changed. • Agent tabs are kept together in their own "OnDemand Browser" tab group, so you can always see what the agent is doing. • Ask before new sites (on by default): the first time an agent wants to use a website, you choose Don't allow, Allow until Chrome restarts, or Always allow. You can remove allowed sites at any time from the extension. • Stop anytime: click "Cancel" on Chrome's "started debugging this browser" bar to stop the agent immediately, or close all agent tabs from the extension. • No access to browser settings, local files or the Chrome Web Store. PRIVACY • Your cookies, passwords and saved data stay in your browser. The extension never reads them. • Page content is only read from the agent's own tabs, while the agent is working, and is sent only to your OnDemand account. • No ads, no tracking, and no data is sold or shared. WHY CHROME SHOWS A "DEBUGGING" BAR To click and type like a real person, the extension uses Chrome's built-in automation interface. While an agent is working, Chrome shows a bar saying OnDemand Browser "started debugging this browser". That's expected, and clicking Cancel on it stops the agent. REQUIREMENTS An OnDemand account (on-demand.io). The extension does nothing until you connect it from OnDemand.
