Results depend on the source audio and your playback equipment. Loud recordings may already reach the output limit at lower boost settings; higher settings mainly help quieter sources. ALSO INCLUDED - IMPROVEMENTS FROM VERSION 1.0.8 More volume for quiet audio The maximum volume boost increased from 300% to 600%, giving quiet podcasts, calls, tutorials, lectures, and older recordings more amplification when needed. Better protection against clipping A new look-ahead brickwall limiter replaced the previous output limiter. It briefly looks ahead at incoming audio and controls peaks before they reach the output, helping prevent the clipping that could cause crackle and harsh distortion at high boost levels. • Better peak control when increasing volume or raising EQ bands. • Lower measured distortion than the previous limiter in tested conditions. • A separate analysis path preserves the existing behavior of Auto EQ, Bass Boost, and the visualizer across the expanded volume range. Higher boost settings mainly help quiet sources. Loud recordings may already reach the maximum output level at lower settings.
