Automator for RunwayML

Overview
Unofficial RunwayML automation suite. Automate requests, manage queues, and track tasks for Text/Image/Video workflows.
🎬 What does Automator for RunwayML do? Automator for RunwayML is an unofficial automation suite that helps you run high-volume Runway workflows with far less manual clicking. Instead of repeating the same steps for every prompt, you can build a task queue, run items sequentially, track exactly what happened (including errors), and keep your workflow organized while you generate. It is designed for creators who work with lots of prompts and want a simple “queue → run → review results” experience on Runway. 🚀 Core capabilities Automator for RunwayML adds a floating control panel on Runway pages where you can: • Create and manage a queue of prompts (Pending / Running / Done / Error) • Run tasks automatically one-by-one with built-in retry logic • Pause/Resume/Stop safely without losing your list • Keep prompts visible even after completion (your queue stays as a record) • See helpful details like character count, attempts, timestamps, and the last error message 🎥 Generation modes (Text / Image / Video workflows) This extension supports multiple Runway-style workflows so you can keep the same “queue mindset” across different kinds of generation: 1) Text → Image Use your image prompts to generate images repeatedly without re-pasting and re-clicking for each prompt. • The extension clears the previous prompt, pastes the next prompt deterministically, clicks Generate once, and waits for completion. • After each successful generation, it waits briefly (cooldown) before moving to the next item to reduce mis-clicks and instability. 2) Text → Video Queue video prompts the same way you queue image prompts. • The extension submits each prompt in order and tracks progress with task status updates. • If a prompt fails, it can retry and then continue to the next prompt so your run doesn’t stop completely. 3) Image → Video (Batch upload + prompt mapping) If your workflow is Image-to-Video, you can upload multiple images and automate submission per image: • Add images into the extension (drag & drop or select files). • The extension uses your selected image upload/drop zone on Runway and “overwrites” the previous image automatically (Runway handles replacement). • Map a prompt to each image (or write a custom prompt per image), then submit them sequentially. 🧩 Prompt input options (TXT / CSV / paste) You can build your queue in the way that matches your workflow: • Paste a list of prompts (one per line) • Import .txt files • Import .csv files (the extension reads the first column of each row as the prompt) • Create a library of prompt files so you can reuse sets across sessions 📝 Advanced TXT format (optional) If you want more structured prompt control, the extension also supports marker-based TXT formatting such as: • “Image Prompt” section • “Image-to-Video Prompt” section • “Clip 1 / Clip 2 …” blocks • “Secret Code - …” lines This is useful when you want separate image/video prompt fields or clip-style prompt blocks in one file. 🖼️ Image-to-Video prompt ↔ image mapping For Image → Video batches, you have multiple ways to pair prompts with images: • Sequential mapping (prompt 1 → image 1, prompt 2 → image 2, etc.) • Manual mapping (choose which prompt should be used for a specific image) • CSV mapping support for pairing prompts with images using a mapping file ⬇️ Bulk downloads (optional) Automator for RunwayML includes bulk download helpers for outputs. You can choose a Downloads subfolder (inside your Chrome Downloads directory) to keep outputs organized. In some workflows (such as Gen-4 image results), the tool is designed to download the expected number of images per generation when using bulk download helpers. 🧰 Setup (recommended) After installing, open Runway and do a one-time setup: 1) Setup → Pick Prompt Box 2) Setup → Pick Generate Button 3) (For Image → Video) Setup → Pick Image Upload Area 4) Choose your Downloads subfolder Tip: If downloads don’t start, check Chrome settings: • Turn OFF “Ask where to save each file before downloading” • Allow Automatic downloads for runwayml.com in Site Settings 🛠️ How It Works Open RunwayML: Navigate to your usual Gen-2 or Gen-3 Alpha tools. Open the Panel: Click the extension icon or the floating trigger to open the automation sidebar. Add Prompts: Type them in manually or import a CSV file. Click Run: Sit back and relax. The extension handles the rest.
