You watch international streams. Chat flies by in five languages. This extension translates all of it into yours, live, as messages arrive. Type a reply and it goes out in the channel's language. Both directions, fully automatic. On-device translation first (Chrome Translator API, Chromium 138+): local neural models, zero network calls, unlimited usage, nothing leaves your browser. One-time model download per language pair. Browsers without the on-device API fall back to a four-engine cloud chain: DeepL, Google Translate, MyMemory, and Lingva, tried in priority order with automatic failover and exponential backoff. Built on a WebSocket-first pipeline (Kick Pusher events, DOM observer fallback). Chat is parsed before translation: emotes, emoji floods, laughter patterns (kkkk, jaja, www), mentions, and URLs are stripped so only meaningful text hits the provider. An IndexedDB + in-memory LRU cache eliminates duplicate calls; per-channel token-bucket rate limiting protects quotas on fast chats. Background tabs pause automatically. Compose mode detects the channel's broadcast language from Kick's API and renders a live preview above the chat box. DeepL requests carry recent channel context for register-aware output (keigo for Japanese, formal for European languages).
