FeedSink
Overview
Save any page to FeedSink, subscribe to its RSS feed and capture highlights.
Save any page to FeedSink with one click, subscribe to the RSS feed announced by the page, and keep a highlight of what made you save it. What it does • Save: sends the page you are reading to your FeedSink account, using the destination configured in the extension. • Save to lists: choose one or more of your lists, or create a new one while saving. • Highlights: when text is selected, it is saved with the page as a quotation and becomes the summary shown in your list. • Subscribe: pages that announce an RSS, Atom or JSON feed display a Subscribe button. When no feed is announced, FeedSink can try to discover one. • Optional buttons on supported sites: enable only the social networks and websites you want. Each option requests permission only for that site and places a FeedSink button beside supported posts. One-to-one conversations are excluded. Telegram channels may be public or private. WhatsApp and YouTube are not supported in this version. • Shortcuts and context menu: Ctrl+Shift+Y saves the current page. Other commands start without an assigned shortcut and can be configured at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. You can also right-click a link to save it without opening it. • Language: use the browser language automatically or choose Portuguese or English in the extension settings. How it works • The extension uses the FeedSink session already open in your browser. There is no separate extension password. Signing out of feedsink.com also signs the extension out. • When you ask to save something, the extension sends the page address, title, visible page content and, when applicable, selected text to your FeedSink account. • Ordinary pages are read only when you ask to save them. On an enabled social integration, displayed posts are processed locally only to position the FeedSink buttons. Nothing is sent until you click a save button. • FeedSink does not use the extension to collect browsing history, track users across websites, display advertising or send data to third-party analytics services. A FeedSink account is required. The extension itself is free; access to the FeedSink service depends on the account or plan available to the user.
