Overview

Automatically records Google Meet classes (video, trainer + student audio, played audio) to a local file.

Koderbox Meet Recorder helps Koderbox trainers record live classes conducted through Google Meet. Record the class video and available audio sources, then save the completed recording locally — and, for trainers signed in to their Koderbox account, automatically upload it to their organization's class-management system, filed under the correct class. Features Record Google Meet class sessions Capture meeting video Capture available Meet audio Capture trainer microphone audio when enabled Record audio played during the class when supported by Chrome Pause and resume recording Start and stop recording manually Display recording duration and status Save recordings locally Download completed recordings for later use Optional sign-in for Koderbox trainers, to automatically upload recordings to their organization's Koderbox account and file them under the correct class Automatically pause microphone capture whenever the trainer mutes themselves inside Google Meet, resuming when they unmute — the recording respects the same mute indicator everyone else in the class sees Designed for Koderbox trainers The extension is designed for Koderbox's live online classes and provides a simple recording workflow without requiring separate recording software. Sign-in accounts are created only by Koderbox administrators — there is no public sign-up within the extension. Privacy Recording only takes place when the trainer starts recording, or when an enabled automatic recording setting starts one. Recordings are always saved locally first. If a trainer is signed in to their Koderbox account and has selected a class, the recording is also uploaded to Koderbox's own class-management platform (not a third-party service) and associated with that class. If a trainer is not signed in, no upload takes place — the recording stays local only. No browsing activity, page content, or data outside the extension's own recording pipeline is collected or transmitted. When a trainer mutes their microphone inside Google Meet, the extension stops recording their microphone audio for as long as they stay muted. Important Participants should be informed that the class is being recorded, and recording should be used in accordance with applicable laws, Google Meet policies, and Koderbox's internal policies.
