Overview
Sign PDF documents quickly with this PDF signer. Draw or upload an electronic signature, add text, then download the signed PDF.
Sign PDF is a Chrome extension for signing and editing PDF files. Use it to add a signature to PDF documents by drawing an eSignature with your mouse or uploading a signature image. Then move it into place, change the pen color or line thickness, insert text into PDF pages, and download the result. Once installed, Sign PDF works offline. It processes each file locally, so your PDF stays on your computer rather than being uploaded to an external server. There is no account to create. Main features: 1. Open a PDF by dropping it into the extension or clicking "Select Files." 2. Draw an electronic signature or upload an image of one. 3. Add text to complete a name, date, note, or another detail. 4. Change the pen color and stroke width, or resize an uploaded signature image. 5. Edit a multi-page PDF, review your changes, and download the signed file. 📂 Open a PDF Drag a PDF into Sign PDF or click "Select Files" to choose one from your computer. You can also right-click a PDF link on a webpage and choose "Sign this PDF" to open the file in the extension. ✍️ Draw or upload a signature Draw on the PDF with your mouse, or use an image of your signature. Move it to the right spot and resize the image to fit the available space. Add electronic signatures to contracts, agreements, forms, consent forms, reports, approvals, and other PDF documents. 🔤 Add text to a PDF Place text anywhere on the page. Use it to fill in a name, date, note, or any other detail the document needs. 🎨 Adjust the signature Choose a pen color and stroke width before you draw. If you upload a signature image, resize it to fit the signature field. 🔒 Private PDF signing with local processing Many tools ask you to sign a PDF online by uploading the document. Sign PDF processes files locally instead. You do not need an internet connection after installation. Your documents are not uploaded to an external server, and you can start signing without registering or setting up an account. ↩️ Undo a change If a signature or text lands in the wrong place, use the undo button. You can correct the last change without reopening the PDF and starting again. 📑 Sign multi-page PDFs Move between pages and zoom in for a closer view. Add a signature or text wherever it belongs, then check the full PDF before downloading it. 📥 Download the signed PDF When the document is ready, click "Download." Sign PDF saves the edited file as a PDF on your computer. ⚙️ Find tools in one toolbar Use the toolbar to move between pages, zoom, add a signature or text, change the pen settings, undo an edit, and download the file. 🏹 Electronic signatures and digital signatures An electronic signature is a mark used to show approval, acceptance, or consent. It can be drawn or added as an image. A digital signature works differently. It uses a certificate and cryptographic technology to verify the signer and detect changes to the document. Sign PDF adds electronic signatures; it does not treat a drawn or uploaded signature as a certificate-based digital signature. 📜 How to sign a PDF with the extension 1. Install the PDF signer. Go to the Chrome Web Store, find "Sign PDF," and click "Add to Chrome." Once installed, the extension can sign PDF documents offline without an account or registration. 2. Open the PDF signing tool. Click the Sign PDF icon in the browser toolbar to start. You can also right-click a link to a PDF and choose "Sign this PDF." 3. Select your PDF document. Drag and drop the PDF file into the extension, or click "Select Files" to open it from your computer. The file is processed locally, so you do not need to upload the PDF online or send it to an external server. 4. Add an electronic signature to the PDF. Draw your signature with the mouse, or upload an image of your signature. Place it in the signature field, resize the image if needed, and move it to the right position on the page. 5. Customize the PDF signature. Choose a pen color and change the stroke thickness before drawing. These settings help the electronic signature fit the rest of the document. 6. Add text to the PDF. Insert a name, date, note, or other document detail, then move the text to the correct place on the page. 7. Review and edit the document. Move between pages in a multi-page PDF, zoom in for a closer view, and use undo to remove an unwanted signature, text entry, or other recent change. 8. Download the signed PDF. When the PDF document signing process is complete, click "Download" to save the signed PDF file to your computer. ❓ Frequently asked questions Can I sign a PDF without internet? Yes.
