Overview

Unofficial fan-made Kingdom Hearts IV countdown with news, trailers, and more. Not affiliated with Square Enix or Disney.

KH4 Companion is an unofficial, fan-made countdown to Kingdom Hearts IV — a toolbar badge that always shows the days left, plus news, trailers, lore and a rhythm minigame for the wait. It is not affiliated with Square Enix or Disney. How it works: Kingdom Hearts IV has an announced window (Late 2027), not a date — so the countdown counts to the end of that window and says so honestly on its face. The moment an exact date is announced, enter it once in Settings and the popup countdown, the toolbar badge and the share card all switch to the real day. The badge keeps itself current in the background, refreshing on a six-hour alarm. Features: - Live countdown with a days-left toolbar badge, honest about counting to a window until a date exists - Series anniversary milestones — KH1, KH2, KH3, the 2022 KH4 announcement and the D23 window reveal - News headlines and official channel trailers from public feeds, cached locally for fifteen minutes - Lore compendium: a thirteen-release timeline, character profiles and a glossary in original fan prose, every entry linking its KHWiki source - Keyblade Strike: a three-lane rhythm minigame with three difficulties and six unlockable keyblade names - A locally drawn countdown share card for X, Bluesky, Reddit or Facebook - Three color themes drawn from the series' moods Privacy, plainly: KH4 Companion collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no telemetry. Everything it saves — settings, feed cache, best score — stays in local extension storage on your machine. Its only network requests are read-only fetches of public feeds, made with your credentials omitted so no cookie of yours is ever attached. Permissions in plain English: - storage — saves your settings, feed cache and minigame best score, locally - alarms — wakes the badge every six hours so the days-left number stays current - khwiki.com, reddit.com, news.google.com, youtube.com — read the public feeds shown in the News and Trailers tabs; nothing is sent Support and changelog: report an error or request a feature at dhseadev@gmail.com or via dhseadev.online/projects/kh4-companion/. Version 0.2.0: countdown and badge, milestones, feeds, lore compendium, Keyblade Strike, share cards, themes.
