Overview

Reflow articles into balanced columns or full-height pages you turn sideways. Solarized Dark. Fills your widescreen.

Your monitor is wide. The article is 648 pixels. Reflow fixes that. Most sites cage their prose in a narrow fixed-width column and centre it, which leaves most of a widescreen display empty. Reflow breaks that cage and reflows the text into columns that actually use the screen — then repaints it in Solarized Dark so you can read without the glare. TWO MODES - Flow — columns balance in place and you scroll down normally. The site's own layout, images and ads stay where they were. - Paged — full screen. Columns fill top to bottom and you turn pages sideways with the arrow keys, like a book. No jumping back up to the top of column two. Esc returns. CONTROLS A small bar appears bottom-right: fewer/more columns, paged mode, palette on/off, rescan for lazy-loaded text, and revert. Alt+Shift+K toggles, Alt+Shift+P goes straight to paged mode, and both are rebindable. It remembers your column count and palette choice per site, so once a site is set the way you like it, it stays that way. PRIVACY Reflow requests no host permissions. It uses activeTab, which grants access to one tab only at the moment you click the toolbar button or press the shortcut. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no network request of any kind — the extension contacts no server, ever. Your preferences live in your own browser storage.
