Overview

Mirrors your YouTube Music now-playing, feed and playlists to a JC4827W543 touchscreen, and sends taps back to control playback.

TuneFrame puts whatever you're playing on YouTube Music onto a little touchscreen on your desk. It reads your YouTube Music tab, the track, artist, cover art and how far you are into a song, plus your feed and playlists, and hands it to a small helper app on your PC, which draws it on a JC4827W543 screen over USB. Tap the screen to play or pause, skip, change the volume, search, open a playlist or jump around the queue, and it happens back in your browser. Heads up: TuneFrame is one piece of a small DIY project, so it can't do anything on its own. You'll also need the board (flashed with the project firmware), the helper app running on your PC, and a YouTube Music tab open and signed in. Your data stays home, the extension only talks to the helper app on your own computer. Nothing is sent to me or anyone else. It's open source - the firmware, an in-browser flasher and the helper app all live in the project: https://github.com/loonek/TuneFrame
