Overview

A calm Pomodoro timer that blocks distracting sites while you focus.

Hushlo is a calm focus timer that keeps distracting sites away while you work. Set a session, pick the one thing you're working on, and start. While the timer runs, the sites you choose send you to a quiet "not now" page instead. When the session ends, a soft chime tells you to take a break. Schedules can block the same sites through your workday or at night, with no timer running. FOCUS TIMER • Pomodoro sessions with short and long breaks, at whatever lengths suit you • Drag the ring around the orb to set the time, or tap 15, 25, 45, 60 or 90 • Keeps running with every tab closed, after a restart, or when your laptop sleeps • Breaks and the next session can start on their own • Minutes left on the toolbar icon, and keyboard shortcuts to start, pause or open Hushlo SITE BLOCKING • Ready-made switches for the most popular social media and video sites • Block just YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels and keep the rest of the site • Add any other site, or one page of it like reddit.com/r/all; subdomains are blocked too • Block during focus sessions, on a schedule (Workday 9–5, Night 10 PM–7 AM, or your own), or all the time • Choose how strict to be: Gentle lets you take a 1-minute pass, Firm allows no passes, Locked means a session or schedule can't be stopped early TASKS • Today's list, with an estimate in pomodoros for each task • Finished sessions count toward the task you're on CALM BY DESIGN • Focus sounds made live in your browser: rain, forest, ocean and three kinds of noise • Gradient skies and photo wallpapers, sharp or softly blurred • End-of-session chimes and a breathing exercise for your breaks • Today's focus time, sessions and blocked attempts at a glance PRIVATE AND OFFLINE • No account, no ads, no tracking • Everything stays on your device. Hushlo doesn't send your data anywhere • Works offline: fonts, wallpapers and sounds are built in • Chrome asks before Hushlo can block each site, one site at a time Hushlo Plus is coming with the iPhone app: block apps on your phone while you focus in Chrome, see your week, and get every wallpaper and sound, your own photos and sound mixing. Everything above stays free. Questions or ideas: hello@hushlo.app
