Overview
Filter YouTube by keywords or AI instruction. Blurs, blanking, schedule locks and a focus XP/streak system.
Keyword Nutrition for YouTube turns YouTube into a place that shows you what you came for and nothing else. You write down what you are allowed to watch. Anything that does not match gets blurred, covered, hidden, or replaced — on the home feed, in search results, on Shorts, in the sidebar, and on the video page itself. HOW IT DECIDES • Keywords — list the words that describe what you want. "Python", "linear algebra", "guitar practice". Everything else is filtered out. Case sensitivity and a fuzzy tolerance for typos are both adjustable. • Or an instruction, in your own words — switch on AI filtering, write something like "only videos that genuinely teach me organic chemistry", and let a model judge each video against it. You bring your own API key, and you choose the provider: Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, a model running on your own computer via Ollama, or Chrome's built-in on-device AI. AI filtering is OFF until you turn it on. HOW IT BLOCKS Blur, colour cover, grayscale, full hide, whole-card block, or swap the thumbnail for a video you actually want to watch. Adjust the intensity of each. A preview on the settings page lets you try every style before you commit. HOW YOU GET PAST IT (ON PURPOSE) Revealing a blocked video takes a deliberate act, and you decide how deliberate: a single tap, several taps, a long press, a hover countdown, a wait timer, a PIN, a maths problem, or a typed code. WHEN IT APPLIES Run it always, on a focus timer, or on a schedule — several windows a day, specific weekdays, overnight spans. Strict Mode locks your own settings during a window so you cannot casually undo the thing you set up while motivated. WHAT YOU GET BACK A focus dashboard: how many distractions were blocked, estimated time saved, a daily streak, XP, and a contribution-style heatmap of your focused days. PRIVACY No accounts. No analytics. No ads. No tracking. Your keywords, settings and statistics never leave your browser, because there is no server of ours for them to go to. The one exception is spelled out plainly: if YOU switch on AI filtering, the video's title and channel name — plus its description, tags and subtitles if you leave those enabled — are sent to the AI provider YOU picked, using YOUR key, straight from your browser. Pick Ollama or Chrome's built-in model and even that stays on your machine. Full detail in the privacy policy. FREE All of it. No accounts, no credits, no subscription, no upsell. If you use a hosted AI provider you pay that provider directly under their pricing; several have a free tier, and the on-device option costs nothing.
