Overview
Monitors a website for a specific keyword and notifies you when it appears.
Key Features * Smart Background Monitoring: Runs silently in the background without affecting your browsing performance. * Multi-Site & Multi-Keyword: Track unlimited websites and search for multiple keywords (e.g., "sale", "in stock", "promo") simultaneously. * Keyword Merging: Adding keywords for an existing URL automatically merges them—no duplicates. * Edit Monitors: Easily modify existing monitors with the edit button. * Price Monitoring: Set alerts when prices go above or below a target value. * Visual Element Picker: Click to select specific page elements to monitor. * Auto-Fill Current URL: The popup auto-populates with the current page URL for quick setup. * Instant Notifications: Get notified the moment a match is found. * Notification History: Missed a pop-up? View a detailed history of recent matches directly in the extension popup. * Customizable Intervals: You decide how often to check—from every minute to once a day. * Webhook Support: Send alerts to Discord or Slack via webhooks. * Privacy First: Operates 100% locally. No data is ever sent to external servers. Use Cases * Shopping: Monitor product pages for "In Stock" or "Sale". * News: Track news sites for specific topics or names. * Jobs: Watch career pages for new "Engineer" or "Remote" listings. * Availability: Check booking sites for "Available" slots. Usage Getting Started * Click the extension icon to open the popup. * Auto-Fill: The extension will automatically populate the URL field with the page you're currently viewing. * Set Keywords: In the Keywords tab, enter words separated by commas (e.g., `sale, discount`). * CSS Selectors (Optional): If you only want to monitor a specific part of the page, enter a selector or use the Visual Picker (🔍). * Click Add Text. * Click Start Monitoring. Advanced Features Keyword Merging * If you add a new keyword for a URL that is already being monitored, the extension will automatically merge the new keyword into the existing monitor instead of creating a duplicate entry. Price Monitoring * Switch to the Price tab in the popup. * Select an operator (`< Below` or `> Above`). * Enter your target price. * Click Add Price. * The extension will alert you when a currency-formatted number on the page meets your criteria. Visual Element Picker * Click the magnifying glass icon (🔍) next to the Add button. * Your current tab will open with a highlight overlay. * Click the specific element you want to monitor (e.g., a "Sold Out" badge or a price tag). * The extension will automatically extract the CSS selector for you. Editing Monitors * Click the pencil icon (✎) on any monitor in your list. * The form will populate with that monitor's settings. * Modify the fields and click Update to save your changes. Webhooks (Discord/Slack) * Go to Settings (⚙️). * Paste your Webhook URL. * Alerts will now be sent to your external service whenever a keyword is found. View History * Check the Recent Notifications list at the bottom of the popup to see a log of all matches found across all monitored sites. FAQ How do I test if it's working? * Add a URL that you know contains a specific word (e.g., `https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrome_extension`). * Add a keyword that definitely exists on that page (e.g., `browser`). * Set the interval to `1` minute. * Click Start Monitoring. * You should receive a notification immediately indicating the keyword was found. Why am I not getting notifications? * Check Chrome Settings: Go to `chrome://settings/content/notifications` and ensure "Sites can ask to send notifications" is enabled. * Check System Settings: Ensure your OS (Windows/macOS) Do Not Disturb or Focus Assist mode is off, and that Chrome is allowed to send notifications. How often will I get notified? * You will be notified the first time a keyword is found. * You will not be notified again for the same keyword on the same site as long as it remains there. * You will be notified again if the keyword disappears and then reappears later (e.g., an item goes out of stock and then comes back in stock). Privacy * This extension operates entirely locally. * No data is sent to any external servers. * See PRIVACY.md for more details. License * MIT License
