Everything is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves — so your vault is usable by exactly one person: you, after you sign in and unlock it. WHAT IT DOES • Side panel vault — browse, search, and copy your logins without leaving the page. One click to copy a username or password; the clipboard clears itself 30 seconds later. • Smart autofill — click any login field and Keyven shows the accounts saved for that site. Fills through native setters, so modern web apps (React, Vue) accept the values correctly. • Capture new logins — sign in somewhere new and Keyven offers to save it. Change a password and it offers to update the existing entry instead of creating a duplicate. • Sync across every profile — install Keyven in each Chrome profile and sign in with the same account. Edits appear in your other profiles within seconds; background sync also runs on a schedule and on every browser start. • Strong password generator — cryptographically secure randomness with guaranteed character variety. • Stay signed in for 90 days — sessions use single-use rotating refresh tokens and can be revoked remotely from any signed-in device if a laptop goes missing. • Web dashboard — manage your vault, see signed-in devices, change your email or master password, and export a backup. SECURITY MODEL (ZERO-KNOWLEDGE) Your master password never leaves your device. Encryption keys are derived locally with PBKDF2-SHA256 (600,000 rounds) and every item is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before upload. Keyven's servers store ciphertext they cannot decrypt — staff and server administrators included. Only you, on your own device, after authenticating AND unlocking with your master password, can read your data. The honest trade-off: there is no "forgot password".
