Play along with any song, even if you don't play the piano. Open a song in Chrome, plug in a MIDI keyboard (or use your computer's keys A to K) and press keys in time. You keep the rhythm; Keylark picks the notes, from the chords it hears in the song. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a song on YouTube and click Keylark's button on that tab. Keylark opens in the side panel, beside the song. 2. Press "Listen to this tab". 3. Play along. The left hand plays the bass and the right hand plays the chords. Choose Chords or Solo. You can also use Keylark on its web page, with a song file of your own, with a tab shared through Chrome's "Share tab audio", or with the demo song. TWO PLAYS The first time through, Keylark plays along by ear while it learns the song. It is least sure just after a chord changes. Play the song again and it knows every chord change before it comes. Song files and the demo song are learned before they play. Two sounds: a grand piano and an electric piano. It can also send what you play to another program on your computer, as MIDI. WHAT YOU NEED - Chrome or Edge on a computer. It does not work on phones or tablets, or in Safari or Firefox. - A MIDI keyboard is best. Without one, the computer's keys A to K play. - Wired headphones, or the computer's speakers. Bluetooth headphones add a delay, and Keylark warns you when it sees one. ABOUT THE WARNING WHEN YOU ADD IT Chrome says Keylark can "read and change all your data on all websites". Chrome shows that for any extension that can hear a tab. Keylark hears only the tab you click its button on, and only while you listen. It does not record the sound, keep it or send it.
