Browse the web from your keyboard. Press Ctrl+J (Command+J on Mac) on any page, type where you want to go, and hit Enter. Key Surf opens a command bar right over the page you're on, so you never reach for the mouse or dig through bookmark folders. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Search your bookmarks: type "bm" and a word, like "bm recipes", then pick a result. - Make your own shortcuts: map a short phrase to a page. "gh pr 4821" can open pull request 4821, "jira ABC-214" can open that ticket, "r webdev" can open r/webdev. - Fill in the blanks: use :name in a command for the part you type each time, and @aliases for long IDs you don't want to remember. - Shortcuts for the site you're on: commands can belong to one website, so the same few letters do the right thing wherever you are. - Copy from the address: type "copy" to see each part of the current URL, including query values, and copy one with a keystroke. Tracking parameters like utm_source and fbclid are left out. - Share with your team: export your commands to a file and import someone else's. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Key Surf makes no network requests and collects nothing. Your commands are saved with Chrome's own storage and sync, and bookmark search runs on your computer. What's new in 3.1.1 - A cleaner command bar that matches your system's light or dark mode. - copy now lists query values as well as the parts of the path, and leaves out tracking parameters like utm_source and fbclid. - A new Key Surf icon. - Clearer edit, delete and close buttons in your command list and settings. - The command bar no longer loads images from other websites, so nothing is fetched from outside your browser. - Your commands, bookmark titles and web addresses are always shown as plain text, so a page title or link can't change how the command bar looks or behaves. - Asks for fewer permissions: Key Surf no longer requests access to your browser tabs, which it never needed.
