Overview

Tag page elements, capture behavioral signals, and import LinkedIn contacts into kenbun for lead scoring and account intelligence.

Kenbun Tagger is a companion Chrome extension for the Kenbun lead scoring platform. It enables marketing operations and sales operations teams to tag high-intent user interactions on any website and import LinkedIn contacts — all without writing code or deploying changes. What It Does The extension serves two core functions: (1) visually tag elements on your website for behavioral event tracking, and (2) scrape LinkedIn profiles, companies, search results, and post engagement to import contacts and enrich account data directly into Kenbun. Simply point and click on buttons, forms, links, or any interactive element, assign an event name, and the extension automatically generates tracking rules. On LinkedIn, browse profiles, company pages, search results, or posts and import contacts with a single click. Who It's For This tool is designed for marketing ops teams, sales ops teams, revenue operations professionals, and marketers who need to implement behavioral tracking and build contact lists without technical skills or developer resources. If you use Kenbun to score leads and track account engagement, this extension makes tagging fast, visual, and self-service — and turns LinkedIn into a direct pipeline for contact enrichment. Key Features Page-Specific Tagging: Tag buttons, links, forms, and other interactive elements on specific pages. Hover over any element to preview it, click to select, and enter an event name. Global Tagging: Create rules that apply across multiple pages using URL pattern matching. Perfect for header navigation, footer links, persistent CTAs, and elements that appear site-wide. Form Tracking: Automatically capture form submissions with field-level data. The extension detects email fields and triggers visitor identification when forms are submitted. DOM Scrapers: Extract data from JavaScript objects in the browser window, such as Google Tag Manager dataLayer, user information, or analytics variables. Capture data on page load or poll for changes in real-time. Use the Discover Data Sources tool to automatically detect available window objects on any page. LinkedIn Intelligence: A dedicated LinkedIn panel activates automatically on linkedin.com with context-aware features: - Profile Scraping: Extract name, title, headline, company, and location from any LinkedIn profile. Add contacts to Kenbun or enrich existing leads with one click. - Company Scraping: Extract company name, tagline, industry, size, location, and domain from LinkedIn company pages. Create or enrich Kenbun accounts and import company followers. - Search Results Import: Bulk-import contacts from LinkedIn People Search results. Select individual contacts or import all results at once with progress tracking. - Post Engagement Import: Import reactions and comments from LinkedIn posts to capture engaged audiences as leads. - Account Intelligence: View Kenbun account scores, surge status, and contact counts directly in the side panel while browsing LinkedIn. Contact Lookup: Identify leads on any page via email detection or manual lookup. View and update lead attributes directly from the extension. Side Panel Interface: The extension opens as a persistent side panel that stays visible while you navigate and tag. Navigate between Page Tracking, Site Tracking, Data Sources, Contact, and LinkedIn sections from one interface. Testing Mode: Work offline without a backend connection to preview and validate tags before deploying them to production. Inspect the exact API payloads that would be sent to the server. How It Works The extension integrates with the Kenbun tracking beacon installed on your website. When you tag an element, the extension creates a CSS selector-based rule and attaches event listeners. When visitors click tagged elements or submit tagged forms, events are sent to the Kenbun backend via the beacon script for lead scoring and attribution. On LinkedIn, the extension reads page content directly from the DOM to extract profile and company data. Imported contacts and accounts are sent to Kenbun via authenticated API calls using your Kenbun account credentials. No data is scraped or transmitted until you explicitly initiate an import action. Requirements The Kenbun tracking beacon must be installed on your target website for element tagging features. A Kenbun account is required for LinkedIn import features and recommended for production use. The extension requires Chrome version 114 or later for Side Panel API support. The extension can operate in testing mode for development and validation of tagging rules. Privacy and Data The extension only tracks elements you explicitly tag. It does not collect or transmit any data until you create a tag or initiate a LinkedIn import. All rules are scoped to your organization and stored securely. DOM scrapers enforce a 10KB data size limit and validate all captured data before transmission. LinkedIn data is extracted only from pages you actively browse and is sent exclusively to your Kenbun organization.
