The Preplani extension turns anything you're already watching or reading into a structured learning plan — in one click, without copy-paste. WHAT IT WORKS WITH • YouTube videos — any length, any channel. Uses on-page timeline chapters when they exist; falls back to the transcript when they don't. • Articles and blog posts — Substack, personal blogs, documentation, newsletters. Anything readable in your browser. • Paywalled and logged-in pages — the extension reads what your browser can already see, so Medium members-only posts, corporate wikis, and internal docs all work. • PDFs opened in the browser. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension and sign in to your Preplani account (or create one for free). 2. Pick a default goal for new imports. 3. Visit any YouTube video, article, or blog post. Click the Preplani launcher that appears on the page. 4. Preplani builds a structured plan — chapters, tasks, reading time — in your account. PRIVACY (this is the important part) The extension does NOT send anything to Preplani until you click Send. • No background collection. • No telemetry on which pages you visit. • No content leaves your browser unless you explicitly click the launcher and confirm. The only permissions the extension requests are the ones it strictly needs to work: activeTab (to read the current page when you click), storage (to remember your default goal), and scripting (to inject the launcher UI).
