)Overview
Floating navigation panel for long AI chats. Jump to any message instantly on ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini without endless scrolling.
If you've ever had a long conversation with ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — the kind where you're 30 messages deep into a coding session or a research rabbit hole — you know the pain. You remember something useful from earlier in the chat but now you're stuck scrolling through walls of text trying to find it. That's exactly why I built Navthread. It adds a minimal floating panel to the right edge of your screen that shows every message in the conversation as a small tick mark. Hover over it and a clean popover appears with a scrollable list of all your messages — color coded so you can tell at a glance which ones are yours and which are the AI's. Click any message and it jumps you there instantly. No sidebar taking up half your screen. No toolbar buttons to remember. Just a quiet little strip on the right edge that stays out of your way until you need it. Works on ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Picks up new messages automatically as the conversation grows. Tracks which message you're currently reading as you scroll so you always know where you are. Nothing is collected. No data leaves your browser. No account needed. No tracking. Just a navigation tool that does one thing and does it well. Navthread is open source. If you want to see how it works, contribute, or report a bug — the GitHub repo is linked below.
