Ad Break — Mute Twitch Ads & Auto-Switch

Twitch ads mute themselves and tab headers show the time left. Auto switches to other open streams when an ad plays.

Ad Break doesn't block Twitch ads. It makes sitting through them painless. When an ad break starts, the tab mutes itself and a countdown appears in the tab title, so you can see how long is left without switching over. When your stream comes back, so does the sound. If you have a second stream open, you get moved to that one instead during an ad break. Clicking into a different stream also unmutes it and mutes your previous one so only the stream you are watching is ever playing sound. No setup, no account, nothing to configure. WITH ONE STREAM OPEN • Twitch ads mute themselves: silent the moment the break starts, sound back the moment it ends. If you'd already muted the tab yourself, it stays muted. • Ad timer in the tab title: see how much time is left before a stream returns right in the tab header. • Channel points claimed for you: bonus chests are collected automatically. • Source quality: optionally pins the player to source instead of Auto. • Tidy tabs: optionally closes a tab when its stream ends or raids away. WITH TWO OR MORE STREAMS OPEN • Auto-switch on ads: when your stream goes to ads, you're moved to one that isn't. If every stream is in ads, you get the muting instead. • Automatically mute background streams and unmute the stream you click into so you don't need to manage muting and unmuting every time you switch streams. • Know which tab is live: the stream you're actually watching is marked with ▶ in its tab title, so a row of Twitch tabs is never ambiguous. • Priority mode: drag your streams into order and you'll always be kept on the highest-priority one that isn't in ads. • It won't interrupt you: if you're reading something in another tab, the switch happens quietly in the background without stealing your focus. • Stats: ad breaks skipped, and time saved. THIS IS NOT AN AD BLOCKER Ad blockers fight Twitch's ad delivery, which means they can break more often and require frequent patching. Ad Break does something different: it mutes tabs you already have open and switches between streams you opened yourself. PRIVACY Nothing is collected, stored, or sent anywhere. Your settings and stats stay in your browser. HONEST LIMITATIONS • Auto-switching needs two or more live streams open. Everything else works fine with one. • Ad detection reads Twitch's page structure, so a Twitch redesign can break it until it's updated. • Very short ads are sometimes over before they're detected. • Still early access. Bug reports genuinely help.
