Vocnu: voice-over and subtitles for any video
Overview
Watch any video in your language: Vocnu's AI voice-over over the original sound, with translated subtitles.
Watch any video in your browser in your own language. Vocnu adds a natural AI voice-over in the language you choose, with translated subtitles, to the videos you already watch: YouTube, streaming and anime sites, online courses, any page with a video player. How it works • Turn Vocnu on for a tab with the toolbar button (or Alt+Shift+V) and play a video. • Vocnu reads what the video says, from its subtitles or its sound, translates it and voices it a little ahead of the picture. A video already in your language is left alone and costs nothing. • No subtitles and no sound Vocnu can read ahead (DRM-protected players, hard-subbed videos, live streams)? Allow Vocnu to listen to the tab with one click on its button. "Listen ahead" covers the video for a few seconds while Vocnu listens to the next minutes at high speed, then plays them with the voice in sync; "Live" never pauses and voices a few seconds behind. • At the start the video waits a moment while the first minute is voiced, so the voice stays in sync with what you see. Pause, seek or change the speed: the voice follows. • One voice speaks over the original sound, which is lowered but kept, so you still hear the actors, the music and the effects. Voice-over, not lip-synced dubbing. • Subtitles in your language appear over the video, in fullscreen too, or turn them off. Prefer subtitles alone? Switch to subtitles only. Languages and voices More than 30 languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Japanese, with Vocnu's voice catalog for each. Credits Watching uses your Vocnu account's credits: 5 credits a minute with the voice-over, 1 credit a minute with subtitles only. New accounts get free credits after verifying their email. Minutes you watch again within 30 days are free. Privacy Vocnu only works on tabs where you turn it on. It sends the text of the video's subtitles, or short pieces of its sound when there are no subtitles, to Vocnu to translate and voice, together with the page's title and address so the same video is recognised next time. It listens to a tab's sound only after you allow it on that tab, only while it listens ahead or runs live, and Chrome shows that the tab is being captured. In live mode the tab's sound is streamed for recognition while live mode is on. Nothing Vocnu hears is kept, and Vocnu never downloads or stores the video itself.
