CSS Insight - Inspect, Understand, and Test CSS Faster CSS Insight is a lightweight browser extension for inspecting and testing CSS directly on webpages. Pick an element or enter a CSS selector to explore its styles without opening the full Developer Tools workflow for every quick check. What you can do with CSS Insight: • Inspect declared and computed styles • Explore media rules, keyframe animations, nested CSS at-rules, and constructed stylesheets • Select elements inside supported iframes and open shadow roots • Copy CSS results to the clipboard or save them as a .css file • Apply temporary custom CSS to preview design changes without editing the page source • Open long results in a clean on-page details view How to pick an element: 1. Open CSS Insight and select “Pick an Element”. 2. Switch to any supported webpage in the same browser window, then click or tap an element. The first selection is accepted, and the picker stops automatically. 3. Return to CSS Insight. The generated selector appears automatically. 4. Choose Declared Styles, Computed Styles, Media Rules, Keyframes, or apply your own CSS rule. You can also enter any valid CSS selector manually. CSS Insight works locally in your browser. It does not collect analytics or send inspected page data to a server.
