Veil detects and redacts personally identifiable information (PII) in real time as users type into AI chatbots and web forms, preventing accidental data leaks before the text ever leaves the browser. The extension monitors text input fields on supported websites, flags items like names, email addresses, phone numbers, and financial details, then offers to mask them with safe placeholders all powered by a local GLiNER2 NLP model running on the user’s own machine, so nothing sensitive is sent to any remote server for detection.
