Cordy is an AI browsing assistant. Use the side panel to ask questions about what you read, understand selected text, and organize browser material for your conversations. WHAT IT DOES • Chat about pages and browser material you explicitly reference with @-mentions or AI tools. • Explain, translate, summarize or read selected text aloud after granting the required page access. • Organize tabs, bookmarks, read-later items and collections, and reference them in conversations. • Find tabs, bookmarks, history and saved material from Dashboard search. Cordy does not replace Chrome's New Tab page. Web searches use Chrome's default search engine. BRING YOUR OWN AI Connect OpenRouter, Volcano Ark or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint using your own API key, or use an on-device model or a configured model runtime. DATA AND CONTROL • Cordy operates no intermediary server and has no analytics or tracking. • Conversations, settings and API keys are stored locally. Keys authenticate requests directly to the corresponding provider, including model discovery. • Cloud AI requests can include your messages, selected page content and browser context you explicitly attach or request: titles, URLs and history visit times. Cloud content transmission requires revocable data-use consent. • Website access is optional and revocable. Page extraction and in-page features require applicable permission; local organization and the chat interface remain available without all-site access. • On-device processing keeps AI content on your device.
