Full Page Screeny
Overview
Capture any tab as a seamless, ready-to-print PDF. One click, no sign-up, nothing leaves your browser.
Full Page Screeny turns any webpage into a clean, ready-to-print PDF — one click, no sign-up, nothing ever leaves your browser. Most "full page screenshot" tools hand you a single giant image that's awkward to read, impossible to print, and a pain to share. Full Page Screeny scrolls the page, stitches every part together, and lays it out as proper A4 pages — so the result reads like a document, not a strip of film. HOW IT WORKS Click the icon. That's it. The extension scrolls the page in the background, captures each section, trims empty side margins automatically, and saves a paginated PDF straight to your Downloads folder. No format menus, no per-capture prompts — set your preferences once in Settings and every future capture just uses them. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • Real pages, not one giant image — output is proper A4 pages you can actually read, print, or drop into a document, not a single unbroken strip you have to scroll through. • Auto-crop, not manual cropping — centered layouts, search results, and chat interfaces often have wide empty margins on both sides. Full Page Screeny detects and trims them automatically, keeping a small margin rather than cropping to the pixel. • Animation-safe capturing — pages with moving decorative elements, rotating badges, or CSS-driven reveal effects can cause ghosting in scroll-and-stitch tools, where the same element is caught mid-motion in different frames and overlaps in the final image. Full Page Screeny freezes animations for the duration of the capture so this doesn't happen. • Handles rate limits gracefully — Chrome enforces an internal limit on how fast a tab can be screenshotted. Full Page Screeny paces itself automatically and retries if it ever gets close to that limit, instead of failing partway through a long page. • Genuinely private — this extension makes zero network requests. There is no account, no analytics, no remote server, and nothing about the pages you capture is ever transmitted anywhere. Every step — scrolling, capturing, cropping, and building the final PDF — happens locally in your browser, and the only thing that happens with the result is that it's saved to your own Downloads folder. WHO IT'S FOR Anyone who needs to save, print, archive, or share a full webpage the way it actually looks — research, documentation, saving a receipt or confirmation page, archiving an article, capturing a long chat or search result thread, or keeping a record of a page that might change or disappear later. PERMISSIONS, PLAIN AND SIMPLE • activeTab / scripting — to scroll and capture the page you're currently viewing, only when you click the icon. • downloads — to save the finished PDF to your computer. • tabs — to identify the active tab and its window. • storage — to remember your two settings (scroll delay, auto-crop) locally on your device. None of these permissions are used to read, log, or transmit anything beyond what's needed to build the PDF you asked for. LIMITATIONS, HONESTLY STATED • Sticky headers, cookie banners, and other fixed-position elements may repeat on every page of the output — a known limitation shared by most full-page capture tools. • Auto-crop assumes a light, fairly uniform background; on dark-themed pages it may skip cropping rather than guess incorrectly, and can be turned off in Settings. • Chrome-internal pages (chrome://, the Chrome Web Store) can't be captured — this is a Chrome platform restriction that applies to all extensions, not a bug. Full Page Screeny does one thing — turn a page into a clean PDF — and tries to do it honestly and reliably rather than piling on features you won't use.
