Overview
A second clipboard for your last 10 saved items. Your normal copy and paste stay untouched.
Better Clipboard is a second clipboard that lives next to the normal one. Your usual Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V keep working exactly as before. Better Clipboard has its own shortcuts and its own right-click menu, so you can keep up to 10 things on the side and paste any of them whenever you need. HOW IT WORKS • Select text and press Alt+C, or right-click and choose "Copy with Better Clipboard". • Click into any text field and press Alt+V to paste the newest item, or right-click and pick any of your 10 items from "Paste from saved clipboard". • Prefer the keyboard? Press Alt+L and a list opens right next to the field you are typing in. Move with the up and down arrow keys and press Enter to paste (or press 1-9). Alt+O opens the full list in the toolbar popup. • Open the toolbar popup or the side panel to see all items, paste, copy, edit or delete them. WHY YOU WILL LIKE IT • Your normal copy and paste are never touched. • Keeps the last 10 items. Saving an 11th removes the oldest one. Saving the same text again just moves it to the top. • Works in text fields, text areas, rich text editors and frames. • No clipboard permission. No access to all your sites. Nothing runs on a page until you press a shortcut or use the menu. • Passwords are never read: text in password fields is ignored. • Optional: clear everything when the browser closes. Items are then kept in memory only. • Light and dark theme, 8 languages, keyboard shortcuts you can change. • Free, with no account and no ads. PRIVACY Everything stays in your browser. Better Clipboard does not send any data anywhere, has no analytics, and does not load remote code. GOOD TO KNOW • Only 10 items are kept, and removed items cannot be recovered. • Browsers do not allow extensions to work on some pages (browser settings pages, extension stores, the built-in PDF viewer). Better Clipboard tells you when that happens. • Some editors (for example Google Docs) may not accept pasted text from an extension. Use the Copy button next to an item, then paste as usual. • To change a shortcut, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts in Chrome or the add-ons manager in Firefox.
