Overview
BrowserConsent by Katla. Set your privacy preferences once. Katla handles cookie banners for you.
Set your privacy preferences once. Katla BrowserConsent answers cookie banners for you, the way you chose: Reject all or Accept all. Most websites ask for your cookie consent on your first visit. BrowserConsent gives them the same answer every time, so you don't have to. Where a site's consent platform has a JavaScript API, BrowserConsent records your choice through it. Otherwise it presses the banner's matching button. If a banner has no way to reject on its first screen, it's left for you. HOW IT WORKS • Choose Reject all or Accept all once, when you set it up. You can switch in Settings at any time. • Recognises the banners of 39 consent platforms. The full list is in Settings. • Banners you've already answered are left alone, and BrowserConsent steps aside as soon as you click or type on a page. • The toolbar button shows what happened on the site you're on, and whether the site already has a cookie choice on file: accepted, rejected or custom. • Switch it off for a site, pause it everywhere, or withdraw your consent on a site, all from the toolbar button. TRACKER WARNINGS BrowserConsent knows 34 common analytics and advertising trackers. When one of them sets a cookie or sends a pixel before you've answered a site's banner, or after you said no, the toolbar badge turns red and the popup lists them. Warnings are on to start with, and you can turn them off. BLOCKING (OPTIONAL) Turn on "Block them" and those trackers' pixels are blocked and their cookies deleted on sites that don't have your consent. A site gets them back once it has your "Accept all" or a custom choice. The badge turns green with the number blocked. Some sites may not work fully with blocking on. YOUR CONSENT, ON RECORD BrowserConsent doesn't run on any website until you've read what it does and ticked each statement yourself. You get a receipt with the exact wording, the time and a SHA-256 fingerprint, a history of every change, and a log of every banner answered for you. Export them as JSON, or withdraw at any time. PRIVACY Katla collects nothing. BrowserConsent has no servers, no analytics and no remote code. Your settings, receipt and activity log stay in your browser, and uninstalling removes them. ALSO INCLUDED • An experimental option to answer banners BrowserConsent doesn't recognise, by their "Reject all" or "Accept all" button, in 12 languages. Off unless you turn it on. • A debug log for developers of websites that use Katla. If you choose Accept all, websites and their partners may use cookies for analytics, personalisation and advertising under their own privacy policies. BrowserConsent is made by Katla (katla.app), which helps websites ask for cookie consent properly.
