Karo – Website Blocker & Focus Timer
Overview
Block distracting websites while your Karo focus timer runs. Free, private, local, and no account required.
Karo - Website Blocker & Focus Timer The companion extension to Karo, your quiet desk buddy. It does one thing: keeps the sites you tend to drift to out of reach while you're trying to focus. HOW IT WORKS Pick the sites that pull you away — social feeds, news, whatever it is for you. When you start a focus session in Karo, Distraction Shield redirects those sites instead of loading them. No pop-up lectures, no streaks to feel bad about. It just quietly gets out of the way of the thing you meant to do. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most blockers are built to shame you into staying off a site. Karo isn't interested in that. Distraction Shield only ever touches the sites you explicitly add, only redirects (it doesn't read what's on the page), and turns off the moment your session ends — no negotiating with yourself required. BUILT TO PAIR WITH KARO Install Karo Distraction Shield alongside the Karo web app (trykaro.xyz) for the full picture: a focus timer, a queue for what's next, a quiet notes space, and now, sites that stay out of your way while you work. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account required - No analytics, no tracking, nothing sold - Your blocklist stays on your device - Broad site access is required to redirect pages, but Karo Distraction Shield never reads, stores, or sends the contents of any site you visit Free to use.
