Turn any tab into a karaoke machine — solo or with a whole room. Karafilt removes vocals from the audio of the tab you're watching — YouTube, Spotify, streaming sites, anywhere music plays — and shows time-synced lyrics so you can sing along, now word by word. HOW IT WORKS Sign in with your free Karafilt account, then click the Karafilt icon on a tab playing music — the side panel opens with the song's lyrics, pinned to that tab so the rest of your browsing is untouched. Press Start Filtering (or Ctrl+Shift+K) and the vocals drop out. PARTY MODE — karaoke with friends Click Party in the side panel and a host screen opens with a QR code. Your friends scan it on their phones (no account, no app), paste a YouTube link, and add songs to a shared, real-time queue. Songs play in order on your screen and auto-advance — vocals removed, with synced lyrics on the host screen and on every guest's phone. Everyone just takes turns and sings. PRIVACY Vocal removal happens 100% locally — your audio never leaves the browser. Song titles are sent to lyrics databases to find lyrics. When you listen through a song that has no word-level timing yet, Karafilt sends that song's title, artist, link and the lyrics it already found to karalyr.com so it can be word-timed for everyone — no audio is ever sent. In Party Mode, the song links and display names you and your guests add are stored to run the shared queue.
