History Eraser — Auto Delete by Keyword
Overview
Automatically delete browsing history by keyword. Match page titles and URLs, and sync your keywords across Chrome devices.
History Eraser automatically removes browsing history entries whose page titles or URLs contain keywords you choose. Keep control of what stays in your history without manually searching for matching entries. Features • Add and remove keywords in a simple popup. • Match keywords in page titles and URLs, regardless of letter case. • Automatically remove matching entries as you browse. • Scan recent history when the extension starts or your keyword list changes, with periodic cleanup while it is running. Recent-history scans cover up to 2,000 entries from the last seven days. • Sync keywords across your Chrome devices when Chrome Sync is enabled. • Import and export your keyword list as a JSON file. Privacy History matching and deletion happen on your device. Browsing history is not sent to the developer. Your keywords are stored using Chrome storage and can sync through your Google account. No developer account is required. Getting started Install History Eraser, open it from the Chrome extensions menu, and add a keyword. New installations start with an empty keyword list. Please choose keywords carefully: matching entries are deleted from Chrome history. This does not delete cookies, downloaded files, or records held by websites.
