Kandue for Graders on Canvas LMS

For TAs and instructors: a read-only grading queue for Canvas, longest-waiting students first. Reads submissions; enters no grade.

Canvas tells a TA how many submissions need grading, course-wide. It does not say which of them are yours, or how long each student has been waiting. Kandue for Graders reads the course over your own Canvas session and answers both: one queue of every assignment with students of yours still to grade, longest wait first, and behind each one the worklist for your block, each student linking straight into SpeedGrader. What you get - One card per assignment with students of yours waiting on a grade, ranked by how long the longest-waiting one has waited and how much the assignment is worth. Seven days of waiting is the first card. - The worklist for your block: to grade, graded with the score, resubmitted since grading, late, no submission, excused, and any student in your block that another grader already graded, the one sign that the split shown is not the one in use. - Who grades whom, read back from the grades already entered, or from the sheet the TAs keep, or from Canvas groups named for the TAs, or set by hand. Every source is checked against every grade on the assignment, and Settings shows every grader's block so it can be read against what the other TAs think. - A toolbar badge with the submissions in your block waiting on a grade, refreshed every half hour. - The panel opens docked in Chrome's side panel, so it sits beside SpeedGrader instead of covering it, and Settings can move it over the page or into its own window. On Canvas there is a Grading item in Canvas's own navigation that opens it, next to Dashboard. Read-only Every request is a read. Kandue for Graders enters no grade, posts no comment and sends no message: grading stays in SpeedGrader, where the posting policy is visible. It reads the course on your existing Canvas session, so there is no API key and no password to give. There is nothing to set up. There is no Kandue server Nothing it reads leaves the browser. The course, its students, their submissions and grades are read from your school's Canvas into the panel and held only while it is open; there is no account and no backend, and nothing is measured.
