Kana Pages turns the English you already read every day into hiragana or katakana practice. Open any English web page and Kana Pages rewrites its words in Japanese script, sound by sound, while keeping the English word order. You read real articles, stories and news, and the kana sink in as you go. HOW IT WORKS • Pick hiragana, katakana, or plain English from the toolbar popup. • Hover any rewritten word to see the original English and its romaji. You can also make the hint appear only while you hold Alt. • A small, draggable kana chart sits on the page as a cheat sheet. Hide it whenever you like. • Choose US or UK pronunciation. LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE • Learning path: start with most words in romaji and unlock kana symbols a few at a time, until whole pages are in kana. • Kanji list: type English words such as water, tea or mountain, and Kana Pages shows them as kanji (水, お茶, 山) everywhere. Click a result to cycle other meanings. • Optional dining pack adds common food and drink kanji. STAYS OUT OF THE WAY • Skip any site with one click, or keep a list of sites to leave alone. • Text you are typing, form fields and code blocks are never touched. • Switch back to English at any time. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • The pronunciation dictionary is built in, so pages are converted on your device. Page text and browsing history are never sent anywhere. • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. • The only network request: when you add a word to your kanji list, that one word is looked up on Jisho.org and the result is saved locally.
