Instead of a grid of shortcuts and clutter, Kalmdesk opens to a quiet, beautifully composed workspace: the time, a daily photograph, your local weather, and a single line worth reading. Everything else — your notes, tasks, focus timer and more — sits one click away, exactly where you left it. It is the space your brain wishes your browser had. THE ESSENTIALS • Clock and greeting — A refined 12- or 24-hour clock with the date and a personal greeting. • Daily quote — A curated line each day, drawn from a deck that never repeats until it has run its course. Add your own, or press refresh for another. • Live weather — Current conditions, rain probability, UV index and a three-day forecast for your location, in Celsius or Fahrenheit. • Web search — Search with Google, DuckDuckGo or Bing straight from the tab, or switch it off entirely for a cleaner view. FOCUS • Focus timer — Presets, custom lengths, or a countdown to a specific time of day. Name your session and the countdown appears in the browser tab title, so it stays visible wherever you are working. • Automatic breaks — Finish a session and a five-minute break begins on its own, then hands you back to work. • Daily focus count — A quiet tally of the sessions and minutes you have completed today. • Focus on a task — Press play on any to-do and the timer starts, named after the task. Two things do reach the internet, and only these: your approximate location goes to the weather service to show local conditions, and background images are fetched from their source.
