Kalm
Overview
A quieter web. Ad blocking and YouTube comment screening, with simple controls.
Kalm blocks ads and filters unwanted YouTube comments from one compact interface. Choose a filtering level for each website, hide an element, or create a custom filter. The ad-blocking engine is based on uBlock Origin Lite. On YouTube, add domains and literal keywords to your own blocklist. Kalm screens comment text and public author channel information before revealing comments, including blocked links in channel bios and visible promoted-channel sections. You can also turn on an optional filter for all comments containing links, or for channel links and mentions. Your rules stay in your browser. Kalm has no account, analytics or hosted screening service. For uncached authors it requests public channel information from YouTube; those extra checks can delay comment display. Cached decisions reduce repeated requests. This is version 0.1.0, an early open-source release. YouTube changes can affect screening, and filtering may hide legitimate comments. The comment filter has its own switch, and the settings provide a reload button.
