Kalemat turns speech playing in a Chrome tab into live captions and translations. Follow videos, lectures, interviews, and audio-only pages in a separate caption window. • Read the original captions and translation together, or switch to captions only. • Keep the transcript scrolling with new speech and highlight the current sentence. • Customize text size, fonts, colors, and themes. • Use Always on top to pin the caption window on supported Chrome setups. Choose a spoken language and a translation language from English, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, French, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Russian, Italian, and Korean. To get started, open the tab playing audio, click the Kalemat icon, choose your languages, and press Start session. Default translation runs on your device after Chrome downloads the required language packs. Chrome may use its online speech service to generate captions. Optional Gemini translation uses your own API key and sends caption text and any vocabulary you enter to Google for translation.
