Vim for YouTube
Overview
Browse YouTube feeds with Vim keybindings. Navigate videos, open them, and save them to Watch Later without a mouse.
Browse YouTube with the keyboard. Vim for YouTube adds Vim-style navigation to video and playlist cards, so you can move through your feed, open a video, and save something for later without leaving your home row. Keyboard shortcuts • h / j / k / l: select the card to the left / below / above / right. • gg: scroll to the top and select the first card. • G: select the last loaded card. • Enter: open the selected video or playlist. • Shift+Enter: open it in a background tab. • w: add the selected video to Watch Later. • Esc: clear the selection. • Backspace: go back. Returning from a video restores your place in the feed. Works on YouTube Home, Subscriptions, search results, channel tabs, and playlist pages. Video, playlist, and Mix cards are supported. Shorts and channel cards are skipped. On single-column results pages, j and k move through cards in order. YouTube's own player shortcuts remain available on watch pages. Extension shortcuts pause while you type in a search box, comment editor, or another text field.
