Overview
Holds on to what you copy: a searchable history for text and images, stored locally in your browser.
Copyhold keeps a searchable history of everything you copy in Chrome – and puts it back on your clipboard with one click. HOW IT WORKS • Copy as usual – Ctrl+C, cut, or a website's copy button. Copyhold saves it automatically. • Open Copyhold with the toolbar icon or Alt+Shift+V and type a word – or the name of the website you copied from. • Click an entry and it's back on your clipboard. Paste it anywhere. FREE • Your last 20 copied texts • Search, keyboard navigation, right-click "Save to Copyhold" (line breaks are kept) • Pin up to 5 entries • Pause recording at any time and exclude websites PRO – one-time purchase, no subscription • Save images via right-click and paste them again as PNG • A history of up to 1,000 entries – or unlimited • Unlimited pins • Export everything as JSON (including images) or as a text file • One license for up to 3 devices PRIVACY FIRST • Your history is stored only in your browser. No account, no cloud, no tracking, no ads. • Incognito windows are never recorded. The web vaults of major password managers are excluded from the start. • Copyhold only acts when you copy something or use its right-click menu. Nothing you copy ever leaves your computer. • For Pro, Copyhold checks your license with our payment partner Polar. Only the license key and a device label are sent – never your history. WHY DOES CHROME SAY COPYHOLD CAN "READ AND CHANGE ALL YOUR DATA ON ALL WEBSITES"? Copyhold has to notice when you copy something on any website, and Chrome can't grant that more narrowly. Copyhold only saves what you copy, together with the page's address and title – on your computer. It doesn't collect page content beyond that and doesn't send it anywhere. Works in Chrome on desktop.
