The JW Web Add-on enhances study and research by streamlining navigation, improving usability, and reducing repetitive actions. It introduces customizable layouts, smarter access to material, and refined media controls for a smoother, more efficient experience. --- Version 11.1 – Release Notes - New Icons: All icons used by the add-on have been updated to follow the latest design language of the official website. - Continue Watching: Performance has been improved with much faster initialization than before. Video time progress is now language-localized instead of using a generic forward slash. - RSS Subscription: The button is now language-localized instead of using a generic “RSS” label. - Bug Fixes: Issues in several areas have been fixed, including the Library app button on Media Library pages and Tracts not opening in WOL. - Deprecated Features: Media Player Control Keys and Custom Media Player UI will no longer work on the official website. ---- Key Features: - Smarter Navigation and Search Access content more quickly using optimized search and reference shortcuts that reduce the number of steps needed to locate material. - Enhanced Study Workflow Copy, organize, and manage text and media effortlessly with one-click actions and shareable links for easier referencing and review. - Personalized Viewing Experience Adjust page layouts, table displays, and subtitle appearance to create a cleaner and more comfortable study environment. - Optimized Media Playback Resume videos from the last position, read transcripts, and use advanced viewing modes that enhance focus and control. - Seamless Integration and Continuity Continue reading or viewing across supported platforms without losing progress, maintaining a smooth and uninterrupted experience. Features can be toggled on or off globally. Some features also include per-site switches on supported websites to enable or disable them for that specific site. Step-by-step instructions are available both in the Control Panel and at jwpubs.org/addon. --- Privacy & Security: The add-on operates entirely within the browser and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All settings and preferences are saved locally in the browser’s storage. Some features may require acceptance of a website’s privacy policy to function correctly. --- Note: Occasionally, website updates may affect how certain add-on features function. If a feature does not work as expected, turn it off using the Control Panel until a new update becomes available.
