Just Comment
Overview
Capture screenshots and add comments on any UI element during web testing. Fully local — no data ever leaves your device.
Just Comment is a lightweight web testing tool that lets you capture screenshots and leave comments on any element of a web page — all without leaving your browser. What it does When you're reviewing a website, testing a new feature, or doing QA, you often need a fast way to point at something and say "this is wrong" or "change this." Just Comment gives you two modes: Comment mode — Click any element on the page. Just Comment captures a screenshot of the element, records its CSS selector, tag, classes, and position, then opens a dialog where you type your note. Everything is saved in one place. Screenshot mode — Drag a rectangle over any area of the page to capture exactly what you see. Hold Alt and drag to draw a freeform shape. Press Ctrl+click to capture the entire visible page. Each screenshot gets paired with your comment. When you're done, hit Download Report to get a single self-contained HTML file with every screenshot and comment, ready to share with your team. No logins, no accounts, no links that expire. Why install it 100% local. Nothing ever leaves your device. No servers, no analytics, no tracking. Your comments and screenshots are stored in your browser's local storage and nowhere else. Zero setup. Install it, click the icon, start commenting. No accounts to create, no onboarding flow, no integrations to configure. Works on any site. Comment on your staging environment, a production page, a competitor's site, a design prototype — anything that loads in Chrome. Self-contained reports. The downloaded HTML report embeds every screenshot inline. Open it in any browser, send it as an email attachment, drop it in a Slack channel. It just works, with no external dependencies. Dark mode support. Both the popup and the on-page overlay adapt to your system theme, so it never glares against dark-themed sites. Keyboard-friendly. Escape exits any mode, Tab cycles through the dialog, and all shortcuts are shown right in the UI. Built for developers, QA engineers, designers, and anyone who reviews websites and needs a faster way to capture feedback than writing "the button on the third row, no the other one" in a Slack message.
