Jupiter Jots

Save any page in one click, organise it with collections and tags, and find it again. Only what you share leaves your device.

Jupiter Jots is a bookmark manager that keeps your whole library on your own computer. Save the page you are on in one click, write down why you saved it, and find it again later. SAVE YOUR RAM! Twenty tabs open "for later"? Bookmark them, give each one a reason, and close them. Your browser gets its memory back and the tabs wait in your library, with notes, until you need them. ONE APP, THREE PLACES The toolbar popup, the side panel and the full-screen library are the same app. Use whichever fits: a quick save from the popup, the side panel open beside what you are reading, or the full screen to sort and clean up. SAVE IN ONE CLICK Save the current tab from the popup or the side panel, right-click a page or link and choose "Save page to Jupiter Jots" or "Save link to Jupiter Jots", or press Alt+Shift+S. The page's own description is saved with it, and if you saved the page before, Jupiter Jots tells you instead of making a duplicate. NOTE WHY YOU SAVED IT Each bookmark has a note for future you. Notes are searchable, so "that article about database locks" finds it even when the title says nothing of the sort. COLLECTIONS AND TAGS Sort bookmarks into collections, and put collections inside other collections as deep as you need. Give each one an icon, an emoji or a site logo, and a colour. Add tags across collections, mark favourites, archive what you are done with. Deleted bookmarks go to the trash first. NOTES AND GRAPHS Write standalone notes, lock private ones with a password, and lay bookmarks and notes out on a graph to see how ideas connect. FIND IT AGAIN Search bookmarks, notes, collections, graphs and shares by title, address, note, page description or tag. Filter by collection, tag, favourites, archive or date, and sort by newest, oldest, title or last opened. Grid or list view. OPEN A WHOLE SET AT ONCE Keep the sites you check every day in one collection (say TikTok, Instagram, Analytics, YouTube and Discord) and open them all with one click, in this window, a new window or a named tab group. Pages already open are skipped. Mark a collection as a launcher and it sits at the top of the popup. KEEP IT TIDY Library health finds duplicate bookmarks and lets you merge them. SHARE WITH ONE LINK Share any mix of collections, bookmarks, notes and graphs. The link opens a clean page on the Jupiter Jots website. Keep it unlisted, make it public on Explore, or lock it with a password so it is encrypted in your browser. Visitors can comment and save their own copy to Jupiter Jots. You see views, forks and comments with a daily trend, and can revoke, expire or delete a share at any time. There is no account: a code made on your device lets you manage your shares. ASK JUPITER An assistant inside the extension that finds saved items, summarises collections, suggests tags and drafts bookmarks, notes, collections, graphs and shares. Bring your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter and others; it is stored encrypted on your device and requests go straight to that provider. Every change is proposed first: nothing is saved until you apply it, and you can undo it. CONNECTED AGENTS Let Claude Code and other terminal agents work with your library through a local MCP bridge (npx -y jupiter-jots-mcp). The connection stays on your computer, you choose which tools each one may use, and every change an agent asks for waits for your approval. IMPORT AND EXPORT Import straight from Chrome's bookmarks, or from a bookmarks file exported by Firefox, Safari, Edge or any other browser. Also imports Jupiter Jots backups (JSON) and CSV files from Raindrop, Pocket or a spreadsheet. Each import goes into a collection you name, folders become collections inside it with their nesting kept, duplicates are skipped, and any import can be undone in one step. Export everything, one collection, or just the items you select, as JSON, browser bookmarks HTML or CSV. Backups restore notes, graphs and saved chats too. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS Alt+Shift+S saves the current page. You can also set up to nine shortcuts that each open a site you choose; bind the keys on chrome://extensions/shortcuts. LIGHT AND DARK Follows your system theme, or pick one. YOUR LIBRARY STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE There is no account. Your bookmarks, notes, tags and collections are stored in your browser on this computer, and Jupiter Jots has no analytics or tracking. Only what you choose to send leaves it: a share's contents and its comments are kept on our server so the link works, and Ask Jupiter sends your request to the AI provider you picked, with your own key. Notes you hide from AI, and locked notes, are never sent. Your library is not synced between computers yet; use export or a backup file to move it.
