Overview

Inspect JSON documents and JSON network responses in Chrome.

JSON Lens helps developers inspect JSON directly in Chrome. It replaces raw JSON documents with a structured viewer and adds a DevTools panel for captured JSON network responses. Use it to read API responses, search nested keys and values, switch between tree and raw views, copy JSON paths or values, and keep large payloads usable with rendering limits and virtualization. Main features: - View direct JSON documents in a searchable tree. - Inspect JSON network responses from a dedicated DevTools panel. - Search keys, values, and paths in parsed JSON. - Switch between tree view and raw JSON text. - Copy raw responses, JSON paths, and JSON values. - Detect correctly labeled JSON and text responses that contain JSON. - Surface parse errors and large-payload warnings clearly. - Save viewer preferences locally, including expansion depth, preview length, rendered row limit, and virtualization threshold. JSON Lens is built for local developer inspection. It does not require an account, does not send inspected JSON to a remote server, and does not use ads or analytics.
