Overview

A simple notepad that opens beside the page you're reading. It saves as you type and backs up with Chrome sync.

A notepad that lives beside whatever you're reading. Click the icon and a notepad opens in a panel next to the page. No new window, no switching back and forth, no losing your place. Start typing — it saves by itself. It opens as a blank page on purpose. There's no toolbar in your face and nothing to set up. When you want to make something bold or add a splash of colour, press the Aa button and the tools appear. Press it again and they tuck away. WHAT YOU CAN DO Write. Plain notes, or dressed-up ones — bold, colours, highlighting, headings, bullet points, tick-off checklists, tables and pictures. Save things you find. Highlight some text on any page, right-click, and choose "Save selection to Notepad". It arrives with a link back to where it came from. Find things later. Search everything you've written, give them a colour so they stand out, or press Ctrl+P and start typing a note's name to jump straight to it. Change your mind. Deleted notes wait in the trash for 30 days. Every note remembers its recent versions, so you can go back to how it was. YOUR NOTES STAY YOURS They're kept on your own computer. This extension never sends them anywhere — not "we promise not to", but genuinely can't: it's built so it isn't allowed to connect to the internet at all. If you're signed in to Chrome, your notes travel to your other computers the same way your bookmarks do. Pictures are the one exception; they stay on the computer you added them to, because there isn't room to carry them along. No account to make. No ads. Nothing watching what you write.
