JournalRanks — journal grades in Google Scholar
Overview
See each journal's grade in the main business and economics ranking lists under Google Scholar results, today and at publication.
See how a journal is ranked without leaving Google Scholar, today and when the article was published. Under each Google Scholar result, and under each publication on a researcher's profile, JournalRanks adds a short line of small badges giving the journal's grade in the ranking lists most used in business, management and economics, together with its Scopus and SCImago quartiles. Green marks the top of a list, amber the middle and grey the rest. New in 1.1: the grade when the article was published. Lists are revised every few years, and many promotion and hiring committees count the grade in force when the article came out. By default each badge shows today's grade and, when it was different, the grade of the edition in force in the year of publication, for example "ABS 4 | 3 in 2014". In the menu you can also choose today's grade only, or the grade at publication only. The rule is the same as the Researcher CV tool on journalranks.com: the latest edition released in or before that year. The history goes back to 2008-2012 for most lists and to 1999 for the SCImago quartiles; lists without a history show their current status. Click the badges to open the journal's full record on journalranks.com, with a link to each official source. In the menu you also choose which lists are shown; a few national lists can be added as options. It works on search results, "cited by" pages and author profiles, including the rows added with "Show more". Privacy: the extension reads the journal name and the year printed under each result. It sends only the journal names to journalranks.com to look up their grades; the year stays in your browser. It never sends your searches, the articles, your profile or anything that identifies you. No analytics, no advertising, no account. JournalRanks is an independent service, not affiliated with Google or with the publishers of the ranking lists. Grades are given for information only; check the official list before any formal evaluation.
